Sea Scout Advancement

The Venturing advancement program is available to all YOUTH members of a Sea Scout Ship until the age of 21 is attained. The basic awards are:

  • The requirements for Sea Scout Advancement are provided in the Sea Scout Manual.
  • After a Boy Scout has earned his First Class rank in a troop, he may continue to earn Boy Scout rank, up to and including Eagle Palms as a member of a Sea Scout Ship; however, no Boy Scout rank can be earned past the age of 18.  (Certain exceptions may apply.)
